New golf course for Krabi

Krabi’s much-talked-about golf course in Klong Muang has finally made it to the construction phase and will bring Krabi’s number of golf courses to two when completed.

The 9-hole Klong Muang golf course will be built on part of the Krabi Sofitel Phokeethra Resort in Klong Muang.

Land has already been cleared for the course and building is expected to start later this month.

The project promises to be a good prospect for visitors, locals and resort residents bringing more interest to this particular region of Krabi

Although the Klong Muang course will be part of the Sofitel Resort, it will also be open to the general public for a fee.

The only restriction to the public being that players must at least have a handicap.

The new golf course’s fairways and greens will overlook Klong Muang beach and the Hong Islands to offer a stunning backdrop.

Krabi’s other golf course is the Neua Klong district 18-hole Pakasai Country Club.
