  • More One Two Go problems

A One Two Go flight recently had to make a return to Chiang Mai airport after engine problems.

Flight OG 8127, operated by Thai budget airline One Two Go, had to return to Chiang Mai International Airport on Friday due to technical problems just minutes after taking off.

The flight was full of passengers and it was just 10 minutes into the flight (17:30 departure) when the captain informed passengers that they would be returning to Chiang Mai Airport due to technical problems.

One passenger said the plane shook heavily and that there was a very loud noise coming from the air-conditioners while the aircraft was taking off.

Some passengers waited for another One Two Go flight which would depart several hours later at 22:00, while others had their tickets refunded and purchased flights with other airlines.

Flight OG 8127 had both Thais and foreigners aboard.

It was just over five months ago on September 16 that One Two Go Airlines flight 269 crash landed at Phuket International Airport, killing 90.

Bad weather was to blame although there is speculation over the airline's maintenance procedures as well as the excessive number of hours worked by pilots.

This recent hiccup for One Two Go is sure to hit consumer confidence again just when passenger numbers are creeping back up after the disastrous Phuket flight.
